When making a right turn or applying brakes on my 2006 buick la crosse, it makes a clumping sound. Would this be the tie-rod ends or the lower wheel bearings?

I would say no to both, but you should still check them. If you only hear the sound when you hit the brakes, start there to make sure everything is tight and in good condition. Also, do you feel anything through the steering?

My 2005 did this. The dealer replaced the Intermediate Steering Shaft under warranty. It solved the problem.

That could do it. It's worth checking.
