Engine Performance problem
1985 Buick Electra 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

car has been sitting in driveway for 3 years. Used to die after it got warm so I replaced the distributor module. Seem to run good so I drove it to the gas pump and it was losing power on the way. Time I got home you I could not give it more then a 1/8 inch of throttle or it just boogs out. I check the air cleaner and it seams to have plenty pressure on the fuel rail as the pump and filter was new before it was parked. Idles fine but no power and can smell unburnt fuel out the tailpipe?
Do you
have the same problem?

Lack of acceleration, chugging, hesitating, bogging etc. Could be caused by one of the following below:

Possibilities: Inspect and test all the following listed below:
Oxygen sensor.
Catalytic converter.
Fuel injectors dirty/sticking.
Mass airflow sensor/Airflow meter.
Throttle position sensor.
Crankshaft position sensor
Knock sensor
Manifold absolute pressure sensor.
EGR Valve
Fuel pressure regulator leaking or defective fuel pump.
False air leakage.
Fuel contamination.
Foul/defective spark plugs.
Open spark plug wires.
Ignition coil/Coil packs defective.
Incorrect ignition timing.
Cap and rotor.

Note:If it doesn't apply disregard it.
