bucks or jerks on hills or grades going 70-100 klms

I purchased a 2004 ford f150 FXR and while going up small grades or hills going anywhere from 70-100 klms it starts to buck or jerk like it doesn't know what gear to go in ! do you know what could cause this ??

i would start with basics like pulgs, coils fuel and air filter.

no engine size here so we have to generalize

the engine is 5.4 Triton engine
