Transmission problem
2000 BMW 745 V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic

car goes into emergency transmission mode. I can turn car off and restart and it is good for a couple of days. I had it repaired before and they replaced the traction control sensor. Is this something I can do myself

This may not be something you can do if the repairs require coding or programming. Is this a 740il or a 745?

Sorry it is a 740il if it requires codeing I can not. If it is a plugin part I can, thanks

Your transmission fluid need to be flushed and change
bmw recommends their fluid which can cost about $50.00 a qt. I had the same problem and I used the amsoil brand which cost about $10.00 a qt. Trans has been working fine for 2 years.
