BMW 740 Blower motor Problem
Air Conditioning problem
1994 BMW 740 V8 Front Wheel Drive Automatic 153000 miles
I took my 1994 BMW to the mechanic to replace the blower motor. He had the car for 4 days. He had removed the entire dash to get to the part, I thought that was odd but he said that was the only way he could get to the part. upon replacing the blower motor, he informed me that the climate control panel was shot or burn out. I was having problem with not getting sufficient cold air. so I needed to replace that part. I was very disappointed because it cost me $300. Can you tell me whether he is right or am I being taken for a ride?

He is correct. The part does cost that much. The blower motor is accessed through the firewall area and should only take 3-4 hours at most to replace.
