Shakes or Wobbles problem
1986 BMW 735 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 228k miles

The vibration is extreme at this speed I have have new tie rods and and frontend chec out OK. I have have new tires installed and balanced twice and the wheels checked for true. Also new wheel bearings in the front and rotors and brakes. Any thing else to check or replace. The car had metric rims and I replaced with BMW Style 8 16 inch with proper offset.

Thanks

Rock & Roll BMW

PS It will smooth out at 70 plus and no vibration aup to 50 mph.

That car was never meant to have 16" wheels on it. What model BMW did they come from and are they hub centric?

I think the wheels came from a 2001 740i BMW, The bolt pattern and wheel bolt up fine. It did increase slightly with the new wheels. The metric tire is just impossible to find. Any suggestions for adaptors?

Thanks

Scott

Dr. Hagerty is Right!!!!!
I did the foolish mistake of putting 18 inch wheels on my 1990 750IL, the car looks Hot, but it rides like a piece of @!*#, I cut me out some spacers on my buddies computerized plasma cutter but the front tire still rubbed a little bit on the back of the Fender. I believe BMW spends more money on designing wheels for there cars, then Ford spends on designing their whole car.
