1991 BMW 535
My battery died on me, assuming I could just jump the car off I tried this a few times. The car would start and run as normal. But, the battery turned out bad so I replaced it. Put the new battery in and attempt to start up the car and it wouldn't start. I'm thinking it's the starter but would like some advice. When I turn the key it almost seems as if the starters spinning fast, though I can't recall how it was before. Is there a way to test the starter? Or can you already tell that this is the problem? I'm thinking all the jumping off did something.
Thanks in advance.

what is the problem? is there crank and no start or what? BTW NEVER EVER EVER JUMP START A BMW, DO YOU HEAR ME? There are many sensitive electronics in these cars and you should not be jumping them to start at any time, is this clear?
