Engine starting
For a BMW E34 (1994 530 i, V8, 165,000 miles):
The engine start quickly when cold but requires excessive cranking any other time i.e. after having been driven but not completely cooled down.

your problem may be related to fuel pressure
put a gauge on it and monitor the pressure
repost if needed
