1996 BMW 528 oil in intake manifold

I have a question about the oil decrease. I changed ccv valve on my car and discovered that there was an oil in intake manifold. tech said that this is not unusual for bmw, but I have to add about 3 ltr. oil every 10 000 km. how do you think what can cause that?
