Hi

I had Transmission oil leaking out of the inspection hole of my automatic gearbox. Is this a seal in the box that is finished or does it just need an atf oil change. Please help.

Thank you

Hi thanks for your reply

There is a hole at the bottom of the gearbox. its between the torch converter and the gearbox itself. The ransmission oil just started pouring out. Im sure its either the torch converter seal or bush. How do i change this...Unless it just needs an ATF change.

please help

Thanks for the clarity. A leak of that magnitude will require removal of the transmission to inspect for possible damage and to see where the issue really is located. It could be most anything, a seal failure or perhaps the torque converter itself, I have seen them leak from a crack in the housing.
