The reverse light is managed by the shift selection switch. I will get a wiring diagram when work resumes on Monday.

I have donated and am waiting for Dr Haggerty to send a wiring diagram for the car. So far he tolld me it is controlled by a shift selection switch. I was looking for a reverse light switch which I can purchase for $8.00. I knew this befor I asked a question on the forum. I am starting to wonder if I have been scammed? Butch

Up on lift can see no switch gear position or reverse light. Where is it and how much must I take off to get to it? Can you tell me how to get to it?

I would suspect the switch too, except that the signal for an automtic is sent through the communication bus, please know that the foot well module has it's share of issues as well. The complexity of the car usually has me reaching for the scan tool and in this case the "can" signal may or may not be telling the foot well module to turn on the lights. I recommend seeking out someone with the appropriate equipment to diagnose your issue, trial and error can often lead to unwelcomed issues.
