2001 BMW 330 PO313 code?

The service engine soon light was on. I got the po313 code. What does that mean? Is it a serious issue? Can some one please help me?

I dont know enough about the car to say what it could be, has there been repairs that have contributed to the current status of the car, or lack there of? Mis-fire faults can be due to low fuel levels, clear it and see if it comes back.

I recently had to change the tensioner belt as well as the water pump. Afterwards, I cleared it and the light came back 2 days later. Any thought on what it could be?

The problem with BMW is that generic scanners can sometimes give false diagnostic clues. Do you have a BMW mechanic in mind or whoever performs repairs on your car? You may need further diagnostics before the issue is revealed.
