2000 BMW 323 resetting service milage indicator

2000 BMW 323 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 73,625 miles

I just changed the oil and need to reset the computer service indicator to zero. It says -50 miles now. What sequence do I follow?

Get in and shut the door. Insert the key and whilst holding the left button on the inst. cluster, turn the key to the first position. Continue to hold the button and wait for the service interval indicator to begin to flash, then release and push the button and hold it again until the display begins to flash, repeat the release and push process one more time and you are done, release the button and start the car, or not. The dealer often charges for this, can we count on you for a donation?
