1999 BMW 323 gear shift
Transmission problem
1999 BMW 323 6 cyl Manual 191000 miles
I pulled into my driveway and heard something snap and now the gear shift feels as if it isnt connected to anything, it is stuck in gear and when you start it if you let off the clutch it wants to go forward but the passenger rear tire is locked up.

It sounds as if something inside the power train has failed and it could be a major repair. The inability to change gears or having one wheel locked up might be unrelated, so I recommend having the car towed on a flat bed to your choice of repair facilities, or did you intend to attempt the repairs yourself? If so, I'll be here.
