I have a 1983 BMW 320i. My drivers-side door's window regulator is broken and I need to replace it. Does it have to be the BMW piece, or is there a less expensive alternative that would do the job?

Call (619)444-2290, they will have your regulator. It will require BMW parts, just to address your question.
