Warm heat. Not hot!

I have a 95 BMW 318ti with 120,000 miles and I have noticed that the heat is working but it is only warm and not hot. I bought this car used and have not gone through a winter and as you know it is winter and the heat takes a long time to heat up and it never gets hot like other cars that I have.
Any answers?

Does the temp gauge go to normal operating range?
If not it might just be a blend door or climate controller problem

To respond to 2carpro jack. If the temp does not go to normal, how can that be a blend door or climate control?
