2003 BMW 318 Repair Question

2003 BMW 318 CAMSHAFT / CAMSHAFT SENSORS
Shakes or Wobbles problem
2003 BMW 318 Automatic 60000 miles
I had my camshaft sensors replaced as they came up faulty. However when the mechanic (BMW specailist) did the diagnostics, it also flagged uo camshaft control inlet /exhaust. The mechanic told me this could be due to using the wrong oil when the car has been serviced. So once my work was done i have been driving it, however the EML light stil comes on. If the previous mechanica have been using the wrong oil, how can the problem be recitifed?
