1994 BMW 318 Engine is Hard to restart after being driven

1994 BMW 318 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Manual 251000 miles
After my car has been driven, it is hard to restart. I have a new battery, new plugs, new fuel & air filters. The alt. is outputting 13.7 volts. It always starts but not right off (2 or 3 tries). When cold it starts with no problem on first try. What else should I check?
