I made a too tight left turn getting on I-75, and ran over some garden pavers edging the median and heard alot of scraping and bumping under the car. I couldn't stop, but the car seemed ok. 3 days later I was backing out of a parking space and again I ran over some pavers edging a garden bed. Drove the car home and it was smoking and the belt was screeching when I turned the wheel. Also I have some oil leaking. What on earth did I do?

You may have damaged the front engine pulley or even cracked the sump, get this checked out ASAP and make sure the oil level is safe before driving again.

Thanks for your prompt reply. If I add top off the oil, can I drive it to my mechanic, about 25 miles away, or should I get towed? Second question approximately in dollars, how much is this going to cost? Or is this a big job?

I feel that the prudent thing to do is get it towed, with out actually seeing this problem, I would advise to take the safe option, as for cost, just too hard to say, once again sight unseen it could be anything.
