The wire from the battery to the solenoid has a connector terminal on it, the connector is broken off the wire, and cant be hooked to the solenoid, do I splice in a new wire with a terminal or is there a replacement set of wires to purchase?

So the main very large wire that goes to the battery cable itself then hooks to the large stud on starter solenoid is broken loose from cable?

Yes, the connector is broken loose from that cable and yes it is the larger cable that goes to battery and solenoid terminal.
It is fender mounted and it is a 5.0 V 8

I would just go to the auto parts and get a copper crimp on ring terminal and crimp it on the end of the cable. You can use a razor knive to strip the end of the cable. That's how I would fix it.
