I have been getting intermittent check engine lights that seem to come on when at idle - more when cold or at running rpms when cold. I replaced the spark plugs, boots/wires, and fuel filter. No change in misfires and a new code pops up. Currently not driving the vehicle.

Codes:
17538 - Fuel Trim; Bank 2 (Mult): System too Lean
P1130 - 001 - Upper Limit Exceeded - Intermittent
16684 - Random/Multiple Cylinder Misfire Detected
P0300 - 001 - Upper Limit Exceeded - MIL ON
16685 - Cylinder 1: Misfire Detected
P0301 - 002 - Lower Limit Exceeded - MIL ON
16687 - Cylinder 3: Misfire Detected
P0303 - 001 - Upper Limit Exceeded - MIL ON
17546 - Fuel Trim: Bank 2 (Add): System too Lean
P1138 - 001 - Upper Limit Exceeded - MIL ON
16588 - Injector: Cylinder 4 (N33): Circuit Malfunction
P0204 - 004 - No Signal/Communication - Intermittent
16688 - Cylinder 4: Misfire Detected
P0304 - 002 - Lower Limit Exceeded
16684 - Random/Multiple Cylinder Misfire Detected
P0300 - 001 - Upper Limit Exceeded
16687 - Cylinder 3: Misfire Detected
P0303 - 001 - Upper Limit Exceeded
17748 - Camshaft Position Sensor (G40) / Engine Speed Sensor (G28): Incor. Correlation
P1340 - 002 - Lower Limit Exceeded

We replaced the cam position sensor with no change in symptoms.

Well we think it may be the cam actuator but not sure - when we apply voltage to the passenger side cam solenoid the car runs smoothly but when we apply to drivers side runs worse. What do you think is wrong and what should I try repairing before doing the aggressive fix of pulling the engine and replacing.

Misfires can be caused by worn or fouled spark plugs, a weak spark (weak coil, bad spark plug wire), loss of compression, vacuum leaks, anything that causes an unusually lean fuel mixture (lean misfire), an EGR valve that is stuck open, dirty fuel injectors, low fuel pressure, or even bad fuel.
