Turn signals acting up

2003 Audi Quattro 4 cyl All Wheel Drive Manual 100000 miles
Hello,
Maybe someone can help me. Everytime I put my turn signals on, they act up. For instance, when turning left, it flashes left. However, everytime I want to turn right, it flashes left for 10 seconds, then it switches to right.
They also stop flashing out of nowhere and could start flashing again when I made the turn.
Has anyone encountered such a problem and how can I fix it? I am tired of them playing Cirque du Soleil with me.
