1998 Audi Quattro Transmission Horror
Transmission problem
1998 Audi Quattro 6 cyl All Wheel Drive Automatic 122000 miles
I had the transmission overhauled in Aug. 2008 in my 1998 Audi. I've had to take it back 4 times for problems with the transmission (ex. leaking fluid, not shifting when it should, shaking when it shifts..) The last time I took it in the mechanic had it looked at by a different transmission shop and said it needed to be replaced, again, and I would have to pay for it. Is it likely that after having a rebuilt transmission put in that within 8 months it needs replaced?

Hi there,
I wound not be expecting that a re built transmission would fail so soon, but as you have no end of problems with it, i would be questioning the quality of work done in the first place, i would be going back to the original repairer with the documented faults since they re built it and demand some action.
