I have just had my Audi looked at by auto mechanic because my car wouldn't start. The mechanic told me that the timing belt broke inside the engine and the engine needs to be replaced. Although the car is a 1998 it is in immaculate condition. He told me it wasn't worth the money to fix it - although he never gave me a price. Instead he asked me to give him title and he would take care of the car. I refused to do this. I am wondering what alternatives do I have? A fixing it, trying to sell it for BO to a private individual and let them fix it and turn it over for a profit. Any ideas on what I should do? And if sell, for amount should I be looking at.
