I have a 99 A6 that screeches when I start it when the outside temp is below 40 degrees.

It almost sounds like a loose belt, but the belt is not loose, and only makes the noise in cold winter months.

Also, is there a good torn seat repair kits? I have a 2 inch tear on the drivers seat, just on the leather not all the way through the seat.

Any help is appreciated.
