My Audi is 8 years old, milage 96000 km (55000 Miles). The engine light is on for 2 days. Could that be because of the Time belt needing to be changed and how often should I change this belt generally in Audi A6 2.0 engine?

Many thanks

Check engine light could mean many things, need to have diagnostic scan ran to retrieve the trouble code(s) stored to pinpoint the culprit. Your vehicle's timing belt should be replaced every 105,000 miles per manufacturer's suggestions.
