does my car have a separate gearbox oil sump and if so, where is the refil point?

If your auto transmission is like my 2001 A-6 it is filled from underside the transmission and must be pumped up and over a dam after removing a hex plug (large diam.) Use only Audi or VW product. There is no way to check the fluid level from topside.
