I have one bad cv joint on the front of my car(1999 Audi A4 Quattro 130,000 mi.). I know it is recommended to replace both sides (driver and passenger) when you replace the cv joint because the other one may fail soon. I am wondering if with this car that has all wheel drive, should I replace all the cv joints, front and back on both sides?

Its not necessary to replace front and rear at the same time, the front does endure a bit more wear/tear than the rear anyway due to steering but its up to you as far as replacing all at same time.

Great, thank you. I have read that it is recommended to change the driver and passenger cv joints at the same time. Is this a good thing to do, or if the other side seems fine, should I leave it alone? (1999 audi a4 quattro, 130,000 mi.)
