Peugeot 205 - has mechanic ripped me off?
Hi,
i had my peugeot 205 repaired at a garage, because the mot said both front brake hoses were deteriorated.
the mechanic called me at some point, saying that while sorting the hoses, he had to get air out of the hydraulic system , during which the bleeds(?) of the break caliper broke.
he said that sometimes happens and was not his fault but due to aluminium of the bleeds and the steel of the caliper chemically reacting over time. that cost me an extra 100£ .
for my peace pf mind:
is he telling the truth?
