2006 Questions for all other cars 12 volts on multimeter but

Have a dumb truck that brake lights don't work everything else does it's a 06 sterlin. On the wires that power the brakes when tested with multimeter have 12volts, but it will not light test light know the test light works and lights on a truck of the same model doing the same test.
