1994 Grand Am

I figured out that my grand am is just blowing raw fuel out the exhaust. What would make a car do this? It gets plenty of power, but it just eats the hell out of the gas.

Possible causes are an incorrect fuel mixture, incorrect timing, corroded spark plugs, a faulty oxygen sensor, sticking float, faulty fuel injector or a malfunctioning check valve.

Check the plugs first... If a cylinder isn't firing properly it will allow fuel to enter the exhaust manifold.

Usually raw fuel in the exhaust system will cause the catalytic converter to super-heat.

Are you sure that you have fuel in the exhaust system?
