Number 2 and 4 cylinders arent firing. Replaced injectors, did complete tuneup twice, ran for a little bit then started missing again. When it is running with a miss, I can pull the #2 plug wire and the #4 plug wire with no change to the engine missing, both have spark. I assume #2 and #4 are the bad holes. Disributor is good, plugs good, new plug wires, new injectors. Is this a bad sensor, computer chip. I am completely baffled. When it does run on all four cylinders it runs great. But the miss keeps coming back. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have no hair left. Short on money also. Grin, thanks, greg

Hi there,

As it is Cly 2&4 miss firing, I would have a very close look at the distributor cap. There may be a small crack or carbon tracking line between No2 & 4 also check the leads (if you have no changed them) if they are bundled and have a light grey look about them, they may be cross firing as well. Do a code read to be on the safe side.

I hope this helps.
