1990 Lesabre lack of brake power

This morning on my way to work I noticed my brakes aren't performing well at all.

I push the pedal down to about half and I get normal performance, but anything past that the car doesn't stop any faster.

Its like 1/2 of my brake power has disappeared.

What should I look for?

How much brake fluid should be in the reservoir?
It looks like just over half at the moment.

Hi,
what happens after half pedal, it it stiff, like real tight, or is the pedal spongy

jim
oh and if the fluid level is low (there are makrs on the side of the res ) do not fill it, there is either a leak or the brakes are worn

How to describe this, after half pedal there's no resistance, The pedal just goes straight to the floor. The car continues to slow down but with only about half the braking force.

The reservoir is at about half, I double checked and I'm well above the min line.

I pulled off all my tires and I can't find a leak in any of the lines.
