I have a 1993 Mercuy Tracer LTS with 95228 miles. Recently it died on me while driveing down the road. I did the test on it with the Check Engine Light and the code that came up on it was 03 No cylinder ID sensor signal. What does that mean? Since then my car just cranks over but does not want to start. It is getting fuel and it has spark but it just wont start.

I have a 93 tracer also and I got a ford cd on it. The code indicates that the sensor that tells the pcm(powertrain control modual) what position the crank shaft is in and at what cylinder to fire when. I would check the sensors.

Ignition spark timing correction is achieved by an ignition control module, PCM, Crankshaft Position (CKP) sensor, and Cylinder Identification (CID) sensor located in the distributor.
