The alarm on this vehicle is factory fitted and has been working well without fault, until 2weeks ago. The key, which has a built-in remote which controlled both alarm and central-locking at the touch of a button stopped working. I unlocked the car through inserting the key and this set the alarm off. The siren went on for about 5 minutes then switched off. I had the key sorted out at a locksmith....the key remote works but the signal is not being picked up by the receiver of the alarm system. I am able to drive the car without hassles but for no alarm and no central locking working.
