2005 Acura RL
Smells problem
2005 Acura RL 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic
took my car in to get 105,000 mile acura checkup (points, plugs, belts, timing belt, oil change). When I received the car back, it was like riding in a circus ride (bouncing up and down).
Repair shop took car back in and said struts had gone bad and it could not have been anything they did unless just putting it up on the rack caused it. Both were bad.
Hard to believe that I had not noticed a thing prior to taking it in and I am bouncing like a ball when I get it out.
The repair shop apologizes, doesn't know how this could have happened and advised they would repair stutts for $500.
Two questions:
1. Is $500 really a good deal?
2. Could the strutts damage be the result of just placing on the rack?
Thanks

oh yes, if the car is placed on the rack wrong, it will damage your strutts, .
