1998 Acura RL Engine hesitation acceleration

Engine Performance problem
1998 Acura RL 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 127000 miles

Hi everyone, I hope someone can help. My 98 RL hesitates and stutters when accelerating from a dead stop. This just started a few weeks a ago and my mechanic has not been able to help. I had the air filter changed, new spark plugs installed, and oil changed. The check engine light has not turned on. The hesitation only occurs when I accelerate with my than half throttle. If I just ease the throttle, it accelerates fine. Could someone please assist?

Thanks
