1997 Acura RL Blue Smoke
1997 Acura RL 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 244000 miles
?Blue Smoke? I have a 1997 Acura RL with 244,000 miles on it. The car runs strong and still sounds smooth. Haven't done any compression tests but is getting around to it. I get blue smoke when the car idols for more than 6 minutes. As soon as i put the car in gear a take off i start to see blue smoke. It dissapears after a few minutes of driving. I guess the problem starts when it idols. After looking at my spark plugs noticed atleast 2 have sone oil on them. Is this just a simple valve seal replacement or is there a bigger problem? Sounds like valve seals if its rings it will show all the time.
