Rapid cylinder misfire

Hey guys. I have a 1996 Acura Integra LS 5 spd manual, 1.8 L 4 cyl, 150,000 mi. Over the past year and a half or so, ive been getting the reading on my check engine light to be rapid cylinder misfire. The car doesnt seem to have lost any power. I ended up trying the simple stuff first, so I replaced the spark plugs. The light went away for about three months and then came back on reading the same thing. So, I replaced the plug wires. Again the light went away for about a month and then came back on. Then I just reset the negative terminal on the battery to see if the light would immediately come back on and it didnt. It stayed off for about another month. It still gives me the same reading as a rapid cylinder misfire. The MPG hasnt seemed to go down at all, and the power hasnt seemed to have changed. What do you think?
