I have a 1996 Acura Integra Ls with 122,000 miles automatic. The timing belt snapped off on me so i changed the timing belt and the water bump. Also i changed the crank shaft sensor cause the wires were ripped, and changed the crank sprocket at the very bottom. I aligned the cam gears and tried to start the car and it wont start so i took the spark plugs out to see if it was the spark plugs and it checked to see if the spark plugs were giving out any spark and noticed that they don't give out any sparks. What can be the problem.

Even if the valve and ignition timing is off-you should still get a spark. recheck what's happening with the CPS could be the caused of No spark. The computer is not getting an ignition reference signal to tell the ignition module to fire the coil.

Hi there,

I would be looking at the crank angle sensor and the wiring. Make sure that the sensor air gap is OK, and check the main ecu fuse just in case.

I check the gap between the crank angle senor and the sprocket. It is a good gap. Also checked the main ecu fuse and it was good still not getting no spark it might be the computer?

Hi there,

As Rasmataz said, ECU not getting cps impulse to trigger ignition, if there is no signal there should be a fault code set. If it was working fine before the belt broke, it must be in the CPS side of things, I don't think that the shorting of the broken CPS wire would spike the computer, but you will have to get a code read, and start checking the CPS circuit for problems.

Today i checked the computer to see if it was showing a fault code. It was not showing any fault codes.
