Acceleration problem..

I have a 1999 acura integra 1.8L with 109,326 and is a manual transmisson. well theren has been nothing wrong with the car since i got it...now when i start accelerating my car starts to sputter and acts up...can you help me please...

I would ask that you look at the simple things first. I like to look at the air filter as a starting point. Then if that is ok I look at the plugs. See how each of them is performing. For instance, is the color black, tan, oily, etc. Note which hole the plug came from. If they look ok, I would move to the plug wires. They can fire ok at higher rpm but cut out at lower rpm. Another thing to look at is the plug well and see if there is oil in it. None is normal, any amount is abnormal and means that a grommet is failing.
