1998 Acura Integra failed smog check

I live out in CA we have some pretty tight smog limits. What I have done and I think this is the problem is install my own cold air intake, and they wrote on the inspection visual failure "blue hose to air intake not emissions legal. Needs to be replaced w/ emission hose." What they are talking about is the part of the air intake where a hose is connected. The kit I bought didn't come with any special end to the hose so I left it open. Also I am failing both of the CO tests.

will putting the stock intake back on fix this?
what other causes are there for the CO test to be failed?
