1992 Acura Integra ignition switch problem

1992 Acura Integra 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Manual 200000 miles

I have 92 acura integra. Ignition switch went bad and i replaced it. I started the the car a couple time and put every thing back together. After i put it back together i cant get it to start. i turn in key and only cd player comes on. No dash lights AT ALL come on and it seem not to even try to start. it just clicks. i checked all fuses and battery connection. Please help me out. Thanks

Hi Pnut654,

There are a few possibilities for the problem.
1. Faulty ignition switch. The diagram shows how to test the ignition switch.

2. Wrong switch. Terminals could be different from original.

3. Connector not securely connected to fuse box.

I wanted to thank you, for adding the test point guide for the ignition switch, it would be hard to check the ignition switch without it. I took apart the ignition switch, re-soldered the bad connection. and now it's working great.
