1990 Acura Integra brake fluid transfer

Brakes problem
1990 Acura Integra 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Manual 285184 miles

I have noticed that the ABS brake fluid reservoir is over full and the master cylinder resrvoir is al most empty. I have not found any leaks in the brake system. I can only assume that a return line to the master cylinder is to blame, but I don't know if such a line even exsist on this car. What could the problem be and what are the troubleshooting steps I will need to take so I can find and fix the issue?

Hi 90sacuras,

The ABS and brake are two parallel system and the ABS accumulator is leaking internally allowing the fluid from the brake system to get into the ABS system.

The accumulator is faulty and would have to be replaced to solve the problem.
