My 1987 acura integra has been burning rich gas. I just checked the oil and the oil smelled like gas as well what would be a good solution to this problem

Hi jmhill,

There are many things that can cause the problem so you need to figure which is the one causing the problem.

Check the ECM for flashing codes.

If none I would suggest checking the following.

1. Fuel injectors.
2. Fuel regulators.
3. Throttle Position Sensor.
4. MAP sensor.
5. Spark plugs for correct rating and gap.
6. Idle Mixture Adjuster, if it is equipped.
