When every I switch to a AC mode that requires outside air or select outside air via the switch below the fan speed knob I hear a popping noise. The noise sounds like the outside air door shutting and opening and shutting over and over. The fan speeds, modes I.E. Defrost floor vent etc and hot and cold work fine. I think there is a actuator buried way up under the dash for this but not sure where to find it or how to remove it. Replace the blend door actuator a few years back.

Does the noise happen when you switch from AC to heat?

No it happens when the outside air door tries to open. Heat and cool works fine.

Then the blend door is working. I hate to say it, but you need to access the heater box and check the recirculate door actuator. Not a fun job.

Can you give me a idea of when it is located and how to access it? I have found a video of one close to the year where you can snake up from the glovebox and access it.

That is correct. If you remove the glove box, you should be able to check it.
