2000 Durango, 4.7 L, dual air. When I drive my vehicle for the first time on any given day. the A/C works properly. If I drive it to the grocery store, for example, (10-12 miles) and shut the vehicle off, when I return from shopping, the compressor will not kick on, and it only blows warm air. If I let the vehicle set for a number of hours, the A/C will work again the next time I drive it. The compressor was replaced last year. I had a leak at the lines going into the drier repaired and the system recharged at a garage about two weeks ago. Question: What would cause the compressor to not kick on after shutting the vehicle off for a short period of time.
