burnt a whole in a piston in original 5.7 lt1 replaced it with 96 Camaro lt1 used original comp. now car has no bottom end power,goes in & out of passing gear when holding a constent speed of 55 or 60mph.and shuts off sometimes while driving and back fires real loud.

Check not runningvery lean,ensure ignition system is all ok
