Scion tC Door Problem
Is there any way to convert my car door locks so that they will unlock when I'm next to the car, as opposed to my having to push the unlock button on my key fob?

For safety reasons this is not a viable feature.
Many vehicles are now factory fitted with sensors on the door outer handle that would unlock once you attempt to pull the handle, ie provided the fob is within range and this system usually do not require you to to any key in the ignition.
I am not sure if there are any after market for this.
