Got code p0340 cam shaft position sensor. I replaced the distributor and it still won't start. Rotor won't spin when you turn the key. What could be causing this to happen? I have put two brand new distributors and neither one has worked. Please help. I am clueless

Rotor not spinning indicates the camshaft is not turning. Most probably you have a bad timing chain.

Reconfirm your year model and engine type.

I don't have the required information with me now as I am away from my pc and is using someone else computer but Nissan engines are mostly chain driven.

Anyway you would need to check that if the distributor is not turning.
